Setting a new goal?

Ok, ok, ok. I know, I never stick to a poker gameplan. 2 days ago I'm on here posting how I'm sticking to MTT's but now I'm a SNG player full time. I don't think this should come as that big a surprise. Check my history--SNG's are my game.

Today Bill Ivey (Lee Gaines in the real world) started his new goal of making $200k in 100 days. Bobby was doing alittle hating because Lee started this goal before and quit when he hit a rough skid (he did do $100k in 73 days or something ridiculous). I commented that I think Lee can accomplish this goal easily because $2000/day is only 1 buy-in for Lee at the 10/20 NL. Bobby then commented how making $100/day at .5/1 isn't easy. He challenged me to make $100/day for 100 days playing SNG's. I don't know if this is humanly possible with 18 credits, but I said I will do a practice run this week and see how my results stack up.

That's it for now.

Return of the Jedi

Lately I've thrown my hat back into the MTT scene pretty aggressively. I decided to stay away from Stars due to the large fields. I haven't made any big cash on Stars and I just think the size of the fields are too big for me to have an advantage, even in a deep stacked event like the $5r. Also, I think FTP's structure is too fast to fit my style. If I do play on FTP, it will be in a DS tourney.

That being said, I have moved most of my tourney action to UB and Party. Party's old structure would have won my award for the worst on the net, but now you start with 3000 chips and 10/20 blinds. Also, the rebuys have a glitch where you can move in, rebuy, win the pot, and still get the added 3000 chips. Basically you can buy a stack. The players on Party will deal me some bad beats, but they also have a habit of letting me get a huge stack early.

UB is a favorite for several reasons. First, the smaller fields make me feel like my edge is greater. Second, the blind structure is the best/slowest around. Third, their rebuys are ridiculous. Half the people don't rebuy at all. Finally, quite a few of the guarantees don't cover on a daily basis, making for a good chance to add equity.

Look for KKush/Killerbeefan to make some scores soon. I plan on posting here again as well as posting on The Cooler. I move in to my house in 8 days at which time I plan on playing a lot of poker as well as drinking a lot of beer with friends. I look forward to this MTT journey.
